Organized by Ondokuz Mayıs University Distance Education Center (OMU UZEM) in cooperation with OMU Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology (BÖTE), the “Distance Instructor” certificate program, which aims to provide OMU academicians with instructional design skills through distance education, gave its first graduates.

Speaking at the program, Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal said: “The important thing is that the distance education platform is not static, but rather dynamic” and talked about the applicability of distance education to theoretical courses at OMU.

At the meeting, it was underlined that an academic who is personally involved in distance education should receive these trainings, and it was stated that there may be an added value in the development of skills. Academics participating in the program conveyed their experiences and thoughts about the trainings and conveyed their opinions and demands to Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal and the academics who coordinated the program about the outputs of the trainings.
