Digital Exam Security at High Level “muhtar.omu.sh”

In OMU-YÖS 2022, unlike previous years, an application was realized to increase exam security. Thanks to this application “muhtar.omu.sh”, the biometric information on the exam entry documents of all students taking the exam was compared and verified by the relevant personnel before the exam. In this way, exam security was maximized. Thanks to muhtar.omu.sh developed by UZEM software team, the reliability of OMU YÖS has increased one more layer.

OMU Preference System will serve 9 Universities including OMU

Students who want to prefer institutions including Amasya University, Bayburt University, Gümüşhane University, Kastamonu University, Kilis University, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, Samsun University and Sinop University will be able to make their preferences at “yostercih.omu.edu.tr”, which is accepted as a common preference system.

New Countries and Centers

Exam centers, which could not be visited in previous years due to the pandemic and some other reasons, were included in the exam this year, enabling students to participate in OMU-YÖS. The exam was held for the first time in centers such as Democratic Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Egypt, Thailand, Mozambique, Uganda.

Information Meetings

In order to minimize the problems that candidates may experience during the OMU-YÖS-2022 application process or preferences, online information meetings were held with the participation of many foreign centers and schools. During the meetings, the expectations and demands of the students were taken into consideration and solution proposals were developed and implemented by the Rectorate and the Student Affairs Department. These meetings, which are important for countries that have not held exams before (Democratic Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Egypt, Thailand, Mozambique, Uganda), had a positive impact on the recognition and prestige of the OMU brand.
