We are living in a period when distance education and methods are in demand due to the COVID 19 Pandemic we are experiencing worldwide, distance education now covers an important part of our lives. Due to the increase in educational needs and the rapid development of educational technologies, the distance education process has become a preferred approach in all business lines.
In the light of these developments, we continue to pioneer distance education to become sustainable. Ondokuz Mayıs University Distance Education Center (OMU UZEM) is launching the “Distance Instructor” certificate program in cooperation with OMU Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies (CEIT) and we are making the program accessible to our academic staff.
Which courses will be in the program?
The content of the “Distance Instructor” certificate program is quite rich. We can say that we have gone through a meticulous and long preparation phase. The content of the “Distance Trainer” certificate program, which will be organized for Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty Members and aims to provide basic skills related to Distance Education, consists of the following titles:

Will the program be repeated?
The Distance Trainer certificate program has been created as a continuous program that will be repeated at frequent intervals.
Are Program Quotas Limited?
The program will be conducted within limited quotas. In case of high demand, the number of academic staff to be determined will be included in the trainings in the future.
How long will the trainings last?
Within the scope of certificate trainings, it will be realized as 10-week course modules. The asynchronous contents of the relevant week will be shared with the participants through the Education Portal and synchronous course activities will be held in parallel with these contents for 1 hour per week.
