The 2023 Foreign National Student Exam hosted by Ondokuz Mayıs University was held with great dedication and success. The exam was held in 56 different exam centers located in various parts of Turkey and the world, in 5 different languages, on May 21, 2023 at 13:00 Turkey time.

A First in Turkey: Common Preference System

OMU carried out a meticulous work to facilitate the participation and preference process of foreign students and to ensure the successful realization of the exam. Participants from different countries took the exams in their own languages and came together in a global exam atmosphere. The 2023 Foreign National Student Examination, which has become an OMU tradition to encourage the participation of foreign students and offer them a global educational environment, was a first in Turkey; 19 different universities gathered around a common preference system. In this way, candidates entering OMU-YÖS will be able to easily prefer undergraduate and associate degree programs of 19 different universities using the common preference system “yostercih.omu.edu.tr/”.

Digital Exam Security at High Level “muhtar.omu.sh”

An application to increase exam security was realized at OMU-YÖS 2023. Thanks to this application “muhtar.omu.sh”, the biometric information on the exam entry documents of all students taking the exam was compared and verified by the staff before the exam. In this way, exam security was maximized. Thanks to muhtar.omu.sh developed by UZEM software team, the reliability of OMU YÖS has increased one more layer.
