Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) International Student Entrance Exam (OMU-YÖS) was successfully held in 33 centers, including 19 countries and 26 abroad, in cooperation with the International Relations Unit and Distance Education Center.
There were 7 thousand 646 applications for the exam in 6 languages (Turkish, English, Russian, Arabic, French, Persian). The exam started on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 13:00 Turkey time and ended at 15:00.
OMU YÖS, which was held in only 7 domestic centers last year due to the pandemic, was successfully held in 33 centers both in Turkey and abroad with a strong organization despite the pandemic conditions this year. OMU managed to include many centers that could not be visited in the previous periods for various reasons and that have potential in the YÖS exam with the contribution and cooperation of Maarif Schools: Jalalabad, Kandahar and Shibirgan in Afghanistan, Encemine in Chad, Douala in Cameroon, Libreville in Gabon, Bamako in Mali, Nouakşot in Mauritania, Hergeisa in Somalia and Zanzibar in Tanzania.
OMU-YÖS is one of the exams accepted for the applications of international students who want to study in Turkey. Many universities in Turkey use OMU-YÖS for international student admissions.
