OMÜ OGEM Addressed Early Intervention Practices for Children with Down Syndrome and Their Families.
Ondokuz Mayıs University Developmental Education Application and Research Center (OGEM) held a meaningful event to empower children with Down syndrome and their families. Organized online with the support and cooperation of Ondokuz Mayıs University Distance Education Center (UZEM) infrastructure, the event addressed professional development standards related to early intervention practices.
The event emphasized the importance of early intervention processes and discussed professional approaches and practices that are effective in the development of individuals with Down syndrome. In addition, steps to be taken to determine standards for the education of professionals working in this field and to ensure the effective participation of families in this process were evaluated.
Through this event, OGEM promoted professional development aimed at providing comprehensive support to children with Down syndrome by offering ethical, scientific, and practical information on the early intervention process to both the academic community and practitioners working in the field.
