Applied Behavior Analysis Seminar in Early Childhood Education

The first event of the webinar series titled “Current Topics in Special Education” organized by Ondokuz Mayıs University Developmental Education Application and Research Center (OGEM) was held online on January 21, 2025, with the support of Ondokuz Mayıs University Distance Education Center (UZEM) infrastructure.

The first event of the webinar series titled “Discussing Current Issues in Special Education,” organized by the Ondokuz Mayıs University Developmental Education Application and Research Center (OGEM), was held online on January 21, 2025.

The guest speaker at the seminar was Prof. Dr. Bülbin Sucuoğlu, retired faculty member of the Department of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Basic Education, Hacettepe University. Prof. Dr. Sucuoğlu gave a presentation titled “Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in Early Childhood Education” to the participants, providing comprehensive information on the basic principles of applied behavior analysis, its role in early intervention processes, and its effects on the education of children with special needs.

The seminar, which was met with great interest from the participants, emphasized the importance of science-based approaches in supporting the development of preschool children and evaluated examples of ABA in field applications.
